OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS IN THE ULTIMA DRAGONS

I.NEWSGROUP (ALT.GAMES.ULTIMA.DRAGONS) EVENTS

There are no scheduled events in the Ultima Dragons' newsgroup.

II.CHAT PARTIES

Chat parties, Ultima Dragon IRC get togethers, are scheduled here, though 
they may be spontaneously started at any time if a member wishes to do 
so.  Chat parties take place on IRC channel #UDIC, and it is important 
that all Dragons use the IRC server manhattan.ks.us.undernet.org.  Until 
further notice, there is a server incompatibility problem with our 
channel, and all members must use the same server if all messages are to 
be sent correctly.

The channel operator for the chat party, who reserves the right to 
perform all NECCESSARY functions to keep the party in order, including 
kicking out members from the channel, making the channel hidden, making 
the channel invite only, etc., is chosen as follows:

1) A note will be posted soon in the Ultima Dragons' newsgroup asking all 
members that, if they wish to be on the channel operator list, that they 
should send a letter to Ethereal Dragon (sbrindle@netcom.com) requesting 
to do so.  The channel operator list will be updated at the beginning of 
each season.

2) Once the response period (2 weeks) for the list has ended, the list 
will be compiled.  Then, the channel operator for each party is chosen in 
alphabetical order.  When the last person on the list becomes channel 
operator, the channel operator selection will jump back to the top of the 
list.  IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY MEMBER ON THE LIST TO NOTIFY 
ETHEREAL DRAGON (sbrindle@netcom.com) WHETHER HE OR SHE WILL NOT BE ABLE 
TO ATTEND THE CHAT PARTY.  Should the chosen channel operator unable to 
attend, the channel operator is declared as the next person on the list.  
If the next person on the list is not there, then the selection continues 
until it reaches a member who is attending the chat party.

3) The list of chat party operators will be stored on the Ultima Dragons' 
FTP site (ftp.netcom.com) in the directory 
/pub/sbrindle/ud/text/ultima/dragons/chat.party.operators.

The following is a list of official chat party dates:

Fridays at 6:00pm
Saturdays at 6:00pm
Sundays at 6:00pm

All dates are in pacific time.

NOTE:Due to the global membership of the club, it is suggested that if a 
member in a country far from the pacific time zone wishes to attend a 
chat party, the he or she request that another party be created to more 
accurately suit that member's time restrictions.

III.ROLL CALLS

The purpose of roll call is to keep the membership well maintained.  With 
the advent of e-mail, it is very easy for a person to join a club but 
never actually participate in it.  When this situation occurs, it creates 
a problem in two ways.  One, it gives us a wrong total membership number, 
and two, it makes the club "easy", so to speak.

It is for this reason that on the first day of every season, a roll call 
letter will be sent out to all members of the club, requesting that they 
reply to it within 2 weeks.  Should a member NOT REPLY within that time, 
they will be deleted from the club, but if they can give a resonable 
explanation of WHY they have been unable to participate in club 
activities, they will be re-admitted.
